License Terms

This agreement explains what you can and can’t do with fonts purchased from Sallam Designs / Sallam Type. Please read it before you buy.

1Introduction

This License Agreement (“Agreement”) sets out the terms under which you (“Licensee”) may use font software purchased or downloaded from Sallam Designs, trading as Sallam Type (“we”, “us”). By purchasing, downloading, or using our fonts, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

2Definitions

Licensed Fonts — the font software (including all weights and styles) you have purchased or downloaded from Sallam Type.
Licensee — the individual or organization that purchased or downloaded the Licensed Fonts.
License Scope — the specific rights and restrictions attached to the License Type selected at checkout (Personal or Commercial).

3License Types

Every Sallam Type font is sold per weight, under one of two license types selected at checkout:

Personal License

For personal, non-commercial projects — students, hobby work, and private use. No revenue-generating or client work is permitted under this license.

Commercial License

For client work, branding, products, and any revenue-generating use, including print, digital, and single-website embedding (@font-face).

Need app-embedding, multi-site, or broadcast rights beyond the above? Contact us for a custom license.

4Permitted Uses

Install & Use — install the Licensed Fonts on your own devices for design, editing, and output.
Print Use — use the fonts in printed materials such as books, brochures, packaging, and signage.
Digital Use (Commercial License only) — embed the fonts in one website via @font-face, or use them in static digital graphics, social media, and marketing creative.
Commercial Use (Commercial License only) — use the fonts in logos, brand identities, client deliverables, and products offered for sale.

5Restrictions

Unless explicitly permitted in writing, you may not:

Resell, redistribute, share, or sub-license the Licensed Fonts, as part of a font package or otherwise — as raw font files.
Embed the fonts in software, apps, or SaaS products without a separate app-embedding license.
Modify the font software or create derivative typefaces from it.
Use a Personal License for any commercial, revenue-generating, or client-facing purpose.
Use the fonts beyond the number of seats, sites, or users agreed at purchase.

6Ownership

The Licensed Fonts remain the exclusive intellectual property of Sallam Type. This Agreement grants a license to use the fonts under the selected License Scope — it does not transfer ownership, copyright, or any other right not expressly stated here.

7Termination

This license remains valid until terminated. Any breach of this Agreement results in immediate termination, upon which you must delete all copies of the Licensed Fonts from your devices and projects.

8Warranties & Liability

The Licensed Fonts are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Sallam Designs / Sallam Type is not liable for any damages arising from the use, or inability to use, the Licensed Fonts.

10Acceptance

By purchasing, downloading, or using Sallam Type fonts, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this License Agreement.
